How big the difference in the reverse direction between Glocks factory ported and the standard models?
I have a standard Glock 19 for a purpose and a Glock 26 off duty carry. I'm thinking of getting another 19 for the defense of origin (the wife loves my gun right 19). Night vision and light are a necessity, but how big the difference is the bear factory really do? Will changing drastically change operator backward direction or the added cost more than the total profit? I usually have my 26 and 19 loaded with Speer Gold 147 + HP point p's. In the Glocks recently, Speer package really an explosion. The setback has never really been a problem for me. But if the change makes a difference operator, may be worth the money for my wife's gun. Will open port holes up the bowels of slides for a party of dirt more important? I've never even held a ported Glock, that's what the questions are all about. Thanks for comments!
There were a few guys in the academy that has compensated Glock 23's. Definitely reduce reverse direction, but you get the big fire jets that shoot the top. It's pretty crummy for night vision retention. We had to wear our hats and shot glasses at the range, and made us pull in all different positions, as the upper abdomen and the pistol tucked into our hearts. When kids with Glock COMPED position shot from the intestine, the explosion outside its boundaries because of the ports.
