how to hard wire a radar to the vehicle?
I have an 06 audi a3 and i want to hardwire the cobra radar i have. anybody know how to do it? ive seen pics on some forums but they werent specific.
if you have a sunroof, wire it up there. you take out the panel with the controls in the headliner. a brown wire will be ground and should work. there should be a red wire with blue stripe that should be your power. if that doesnt work, youll have to go down the the fuse panel. it would be best to measure the voltage with a multimeter before wiring. i used wiring clamps to wire it to the sunroof and taped them up. A3 is a canbus car which means that you may have to turn the radar off because it wont turn off with the car if wired to the sunroof. if you wire it to the fuse panel, you can probably find a fuse that shuts off when the key is removed.
