When i hook my dvd player up to my lcd tv the picture has a green tint?
I just baught a 19″ Sanyo lcd hdtv and a sony dvd player. when i hook up the dvd player the picture has a green tint even though the cable color is fine. i have all the cords so what is wrong?
Sounds like a bad cable. Are we talking about Component Cables (Green, Blue, Yellow) or HDMI? It sounds like one of the signals is not syncing properly, this could be from several reasons. Bad cables, poor shielding, grounding problems.
I’d start with the cable. You can cheat by using really good composite cables and matching up the red, white, yellow cables to the Green Blue Yellow connectors (just make sure they match up on both ends). Don’t be surprised if that doesn’t solve it because Composite cables are not generally shielded which is usually pretty important in component cables. The thicker the cables the better they usually are so find the thickest Composites you can find. If it solves it, then you’ll need to buy a new set of cables. You shouldn’t continue to use the composite cables.
