When/how do I ask a car dealer to have a used car inspected before I buy it?
Does he have to come with me and take all that time out of his day only to hear me say he needs to call me if he can meet my offer which will undoubtedly be much lower than his original asking price?
You often have to leave a photocopy of your drivers’ license in case you run off with the car. But you get the inspection, and you pay for it.
