rca av cables: are red yellow and white interchangeable with red blue and green?
I bought a vga to rca adapter cable and it has red blue and green plugs on the end -I wanted to hook this up to a tv that has the standard red yellow and white connections for audio/video to transfer my laptop screen to the tv. Will this work? (The tv is not at my location at the moment). Thank you for your time.
the laptopp and lcd tv that i will be using are fairly new (purchased within the past 6 months) so they both have an array of connections available. the tv actually does have red blue and green female slots, as well as red yellow and white.
You can only if your laptop supports that sort of cable, and composite out it.
Otherwise you need a scan converter box.
In any case, you likely need to separately run audio from the audio out on the computer (3.5mm TRS), to RCA on the TV.
