Tips on how to keep my hair iron in good shape?

hi i just bought a new Solia straightener and it was $ 88, so I want to ensure that they remain in good shape and last for atleast over a year .. hopefully more than one. What are some ways to keep in perfect condition to ensure no broken or damaged?

My suggestion is to avoid using gels, hair sprays and hair wet (even if straightener wet to dry) on it. Doing so will cause hot spots of the plate all the textures like sandpaper and divide your hair. Clean your straightener hair after use by the end of the day. Un-connected, most definitely. Towels not soaked in the cleaner, and wet, you can clean the hair product waste and dead hair. Consider buying a rug to put your iron on when not in use for the straightener not listed in any bacteria or germs. Also please know that a place will be safe, but quick to find.
